accommodation - Brazil

Brazil offers a wide range of accommodation options. The advent of the forthcoming World Cup and Olympics, together with the country’s economic growth, is resulting in a significant increase in new hotels and resorts from international and national chains. Over the next 4 years upwards of 300 new hotels are planned in key locations which will appeal to the market.

Brazil does not operate a formal star rating system for hotels. For ease of understanding we have used other country ratings from international brands to give you an idea of bed stock in 4 and 5 star categories.

convention centres:

Rio de Janeiro boasts the largest convention centre in Latin America and this is in addition to the facilities that exist in Sao Paulo and other key cities. Both Rio de Janiero and Sao Paulo consistently top ICCA league tables for the Americas, demonstrating their popularity and ability to handle large, complex meetings and events.

hotel meeting space:

Many of the new hotels have been built with the corporate meetings industry very much in mind and thus offer flexibility in both size and configurations.

venues:

Brazil has a number of unusual locations and venues in which to stage events. These range from the natural wonders of Iguassu and the Amazon, to the iconic Corcovado and Sugar Loaf Mountain; the Sambódromos of Sao Paulo and Rio, to the famous Maracanã Stadium. Museums, covered markets, university campuses all complement the purpose built facilities within the country.
